On Saturday night a man was hit and killed while crossing Boulder Highway.
According to authorities in Henderson, the accident happened at midnight on Saturday, on Boulder Highway, north of Sunset Road. They went on to say that 62 year old Richard Eubanks was in the left travel land and not in a crosswalk when he was hit by a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta heading north and being driven by a 19 year old female. Eubanks was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jetta, whose name has not been released, was not injured and the authorities said that alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the accident.
The Clark County coroner’s office ruled Eubanks’ death to be an accident but the accident is still under investigation.
It was the first traffic related fatality in Henderson’s jurisdiction this year.
