Early Morning Crash Leaves Three Seriously Injured

Early on Sunday morning, an accident left three seriously injured in a three vehicle collision.

According to Las Vegas police, the crash happened at about 4.30 a.m. on Sahara Avenue and Carillo Street, west of South Nellis Boulevard. A 2012 Ford Fusion, being driven by 21 year old Kenneth Quintana, was driving down Sahara at high speed and crashed into a 2005 Ford pickup truck, driven by 38 year old Domingo Martinez-Hernandez, who was turning from a stop sign at Carillo. The pickup truck stopped but the Fusion lost control and crashed into a forklift that was parked in a construction zone.

Quintana and his passengers, 19 year old Lalo Macias, and 20 year old Anthony Morales, 20, suffered serious to critical injuries, and were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. According to police one may have a broken neck.

Martinez-Hernandez was uninjured and his 24 year old passenger, Monica Hernandez, only suffered minor injuries.

The police are still investigating but think that one of the drivers may have been impaired.
